Rudimentary Peni - Death Church

Rudimentary Peni is an english band that formed in 1980. Grant Matthews (bass player) explains how he came up with the name of the band: "When I was at school studying biology, we were told that in the fetal stage the clitoris is a rudimentary penis."

Nick Blinko (lead singer/guitarist) is notorious for his witty macabre lyrics and dark pen-and-ink artwork, prominently featured on all of Rudimentary Peni’s albums.

Here we have their first album from 1983 called "Death Church". The music is something between post-punk and death-rock. Still sounds amazing!
