I've been looking for Martin & the Brown Shirts 'Taxi Driver for maybe 6 years since it had been picked by Mojo as one of the 100 punk singles to own. I've got them all now thanks to you. Good job!

Too Much are brilliant its ashame not all their songs are on CD. Im sending off their Records to have them all on CD so if anyone would like a copy made or to learn more about the Band (because i feel they was too good to go un spoken about now) please take a look at the site i am started about them and also will be putting their songs on youtube soon, details will be on the site which is NWOBHM-Too-Much.piczo.com More info will keep being loaded on there as i have only started it today!!! But they were brilliant!!! Did you no that they played on the roof of lightning records and the streets went wild and loved them then the police came and arrested them and they were in the paper and made sure they was heard and good on them because they made history!! Too Much was one of the earliest NWOBHM bands!! a huge wink to traditional hardrock. They are seen as one of the ancestors of the sub-genre of NWOBHM and therefore worth to mention, not much because of their two 7" releases they did at the end of the seventies on the small Lightning Records. ReplyDeletehi my names paul reeves and I was brought up on the Debden estate Loughton Essex, too much used to rehearse at fairmead youth club I remember Collin and Russell but i'm a bit mixed as to who did what as I recall Colin was the singer russ guitar dick drumming, I remember them doing patty smiths Gloria there own song I didn't love you anyway, they had a ford angular which we used to stand on the bumper and hang on as it sped round the playground. I'm sure ive still got their single somewhere, great memories great band.
